For sustainability reasons, conventional Styrofoam packaging is increasingly being replaced by so‑called honeycomb packaging solutions. Die‑cutting these materials requires two key features: a precisely engineered tooth geometry and an exceptional cutting rule height. bohlerstrip offers unique serrated steel rules precisely engineered to fit your die‑cutting application. The HC – Honeycomb features an 8 TPI flat die profile specifically designed for cutting honeycomb and similar materials. Its sleek, optimized profile requires significantly less cutting pressure and impression compared to standard honeycomb cutting rules, resulting in higher efficiency and improved tool performance.

To increase cutting rule height, bohlerstrip applies a smart and proven solution. Two individual cutting rules, each 100 mm high, are joined via a connecting tunnel to achieve a total height of 200 mm. The specially designed back and cutting geometries fit together perfectly, allowing for precise welding. The result is a stable, robust cutting rule with a total height of 200 mm, ideally suited for demanding honeycomb die‑cutting applications.
